Your Rights & NDIS Information

We believe informed participants make empowered choices. Here are key resources to help you understand your rights and how we work with you.

The NDIS Code of Conduct applies to all providers and workers β€” registered or not. Every Firm Ground Care team member is required to uphold these standards.

  • Act with respect for individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination and decision-making
  • Respect the privacy of people with disability
  • Provide supports in a safe and competent manner with care and skill
  • Act with integrity, honesty and transparency
  • Promptly raise and act on concerns about quality and safety
  • Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to violence, exploitation, neglect and abuse
  • Take all reasonable steps to prevent sexual misconduct

As an NDIS participant, you have the right to:

  • Be treated with dignity and respect at all times
  • Make decisions about your own life, including how your supports are delivered
  • Access supports that meet your needs, goals and aspirations
  • Have your privacy protected
  • Make a complaint or raise a concern without fear of reprisal
  • Choose and change your providers
  • Access an interpreter or advocate if needed

If you are self-managing your NDIS plan, you have the most flexibility in choosing providers β€” including unregistered providers like Firm Ground Care. Key responsibilities:

  • Keep records of all invoices and receipts for NDIS claims
  • Ensure all supports align with your NDIS plan goals
  • Claim within the NDIS Price Guide limits
  • Manage your own service agreements with providers

If your plan is managed by a registered Plan Manager, using Firm Ground Care is simple:

  • We provide tax-compliant invoices your plan manager processes on your behalf
  • Invoices reference your NDIS item numbers and dates of service
  • We work directly with your plan manager to avoid confusion or delays
  • You remain in full control of your support choices

If you have a concern, please speak with us directly first. We take all feedback seriously and will respond promptly.

If you are not satisfied with our response, or prefer to raise your concern independently, you can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission:
